  • VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) actuator issues on VQ37VHR (G37, Q50, Q60, FX37) — misfire, rough running, sometimes metallic noise
  • Timing chain stretch on VQ37 engines at high mileage
  • CVT transmission issues on Q50, QX50, QX60 (CVT-equipped) — same patterns as Nissan: shudder, hesitation; fluid service is critical
  • VQ-series oil consumption on some years — worth documenting if you're seeing it
  • Catalytic converter failures (similar pattern to Altima 2.5L on shared-engine Infiniti models)
  • Air suspension on FX / QX70 / QX80 — compressor or air-spring failure
