We opened the doors at 1100 East Kingsbury in 1998. Twenty-six years and 100,000+ customer visits later, we're still here, still independent, and still doing the same thing we did the first week: tell people what's wrong with their vehicle, what it costs to fix, and what they can wait on. That's the whole pitch, really. Everything else is just doing the work.

How we got here

Seguin in the late 90s was a smaller town. Most of the cars that came through the shop in those early years had carburetors, distributor caps, and engines you could actually see from above when the hood was up. Today's vehicles have forty-plus computer modules talking to each other over a network, ADAS cameras that need recalibration after a windshield replacement, and direct-injection engines with maintenance needs nobody talks about until they need it.

The shop adapted. We invested in proper diagnostic equipment, sent our techs back to school for ASE recertifications and Bosch training, and added the equipment to handle modern drivetrains. What didn't change: the people behind the counter, the no-upsell estimate policy, and the principle that the customer should leave knowing exactly what we did and why.

Our team and certifications

Our service technicians are ASE Certified — the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence's standard, recertified every five years against current technologies. That's not a one-time stamp; it's a continuing commitment.

We're also:

  • Bosch Service Center — certified to work on Bosch parts and the systems that integrate them (which is most modern vehicles in some form)
  • AAA Approved Auto Repair — independently inspected and customer-surveyed, with the AAA arbitration process available if anything ever doesn't go right
  • Tech-Net Professional — gives our 24-month / 24,000-mile warranty nationwide coverage at thousands of partner shops

What you can expect

You'll get a written estimate before any work starts. You'll get a real conversation about what needs to happen now and what can wait. You'll get a 24-month / 24,000-mile warranty on the work, honored across the Tech-Net network if you're out of town when something comes up. And if you need to drop off after hours, we have a key box.

We work on European, American, and Asian vehicles — see the makes we service for the full list — from a routine oil change on the family Camry to a major engine repair on the work truck. If you're not sure whether something's in our lane, call (830) 379-4840 and ask.
