- VTC actuator rattle on cold start (especially K-series engines) — a brief grinding sound from the variable cam-timing actuator. Honda has issued service bulletins; we repair to spec
- AC compressor failures on Civic and Accord — clutch noise or no cold air; the compressor and accumulator generally fail as a pair
- Transmission cooler service for 2003-2008 Pilots, Odysseys, and V6 Accords — the factory cooler is undersized, and an aftermarket cooler upgrade is one of the cheapest things you can do to extend transmission life on these
- Power steering pump whine — Honda PS fluid is specific; substituting ATF kills the pump
- Idle air control valve sticking causing rough idle on older fuel-injected models
- Earth Dreams oil dilution (CR-V, Civic 1.5T) — fuel mixing into the engine oil during cold starts; check level often and don't extend oil-change intervals
